Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19 and cancellations due to COVID-19<div>On March 31, 2020, the Premier’s Office announced an extension to the provincial school closure period in response to COVID-19. As such, Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools, child care centres and adult learning centres will not reopen on April 6, 2020, as originally scheduled. The Premier’s Office has stated that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed until May 4, 2020, at which time they will reassess school openings. <br></div><div><br></div><div>The following programs/meetings will not run or are closed:<br></div><div><ul><li>Permits (Community Use of Schools)</li><li>All EarlyON and Child Care Centres</li><li>Adult and continuing education</li><li>Dual Credit and Cooperative education programs<br></li><li>Program Standing Committee Meeting (April 8, 2020)</li><li>Human Resources Standing Committee Meeting (April 8, 2020)</li><li>Business and Facilities Standing Committee Meeting (April 8, 2020)</li><li>Business and Facilities Standing Committee and SEAC Budget Meeting (April 15, 2020)<br></li><li><div>Parent Involvement Committee (April 21, 2020)<br></div></li><li><div>Student Senate (April 22, 2020)</div></li><li><div>Character Recognition Evening (May 14, 2020)<br></div></li></ul></div><div>In addition, the Education Centre and the Career Centre are closed to the public.</div><div><br></div><div>Learn more at <a href=""></a><br></div><p><br></p>

MacMillan's Cookie Dough Fundraiser's Cookie Dough Fundraiser <p>​We are offering MacMillan's Cookie Dough and Muffin Fundraiser.  MacMillan's items will be available to purchase through School Cash Online starting Monday March 2nd - March 22nd, 2020.   Delivery Date will be April 7.  We do have paper order forms in the office if needed. </p><p>MacMillan's offers several Peanut and Nut Free options as well as two Dairy Free Options.<br></p>

Your child(ren) will be participating in a Caring Concerts presentation with singer-songwriter Errol Lee.<br>Errol Lee’s Caring Concerts are multi-sensory presentations that use music, movement, media and visual communication strategies to provide audiences with an opportunity to sing along to the songs, dance to the music while encouraging mutual caring and community. Errol’s ability to captivate and motivate audiences of all ages transcends the cool barrier, fosters pervasive caring and effectively affirms his belief that each person is uniquely and inherently valuable.</p><p><br>Friendship Promise (Primary) In this concert presentation, children, learn that friendship means using their words and actions to show caring, respect and inclusion.</p><p><br>Honouring Black History (Junior/Intermediate)<br>Students are provided with a compelling look at the lives of individuals of African descent whose exemplary character changed the world and made it better for us today.</p><p>Ask your child(ren) about the message, music and fun! Your child(ren) will be eager to share and demonstrate what they have learnt!</p><p>Caring Concerts encourage youth to be positive, thoughtful and caring people.</p><p><br>Errol Lee is the founder of Caring Concerts. He is the recipient of the following awards and accolades: Barrie Arts Award for Contribution to the Community, York Region Character through the Arts Award, BBPA (Black Business Professional Association).
